The textbooks in God’s Design for Science are specially written to be used with multiple grades. The main part of each lesson is appropriate for grades 3–8. In addition, each book includes a unique “Challenge” section with deeper teaching and more difficult experiments, specially designed for the middle school grades, 6–8. You only need to complete the sections that apply to your student’s grade level.
Each lesson begins with a “read-aloud” section that covers the basic material and is followed by a fun hands-on activity that involves your child and reinforces what you just read. Each lesson ends with review and application questions.
Students read the lesson, do an activity, complete "What did we Learn?" questions, and assess understanding by answering "Taking it Further" questions. Students in grades 6-8 have an additional challenge section. Students are also given quizzes and a final test and final project which ties all of the lessons together and reinforces what the student has learned.( Digital access to downloadable tests, worksheets, experiments, illustrations, and videos is also included.)
In addition to the lessons (35 per text), God’s Design books contain special feature articles that examine the lives of scientists throughout history who have contributed to the subject. Other articles contain fun facts.
Using ordinary household items for experiments and activities, God's Design approaches all topics from a biblical worldview, showing how science supports the Genesis account of creation.
Best of all, God’s Design textbooks help you teach science from a biblical, creationist perspective, emphasizing God’s handiwork in the world around us.
